When you visit Weaverville United Methodist Church, you join caring Christians who support our local community and each other. Our Nurture Committee ensures that our members stay connected and are supported by their church family through all life’s circumstances.
Our homebound members are supported regularly with:
- Many cards and notes for holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions
- Phone calls
- Visits by the Nurture team and/or the pastors
High school graduates who move away can expect:
- Care packages (with the help of our Youth Group)
- Cards for birthdays, holidays, and other important events.
- Letters of encouragement and support
Those who are in emotional or physical crisis (such as divorce, illness including mental health, the loss of a loved one, etc.) receive:
- Meals delivered
- Visits with a pastor and/or our team
- Cards of encouragement
- Support during and after funerals
We are always looking for new ways to show our love and support for each other. Come and join us. We welcome your ideas and your generous spirit!
