The Mature & Methodist Ministry (M&Ms) is a vital part of the life and ministry of the congregation. It is made up of adults whose talents are many and faith is abundant.
Note: You don’t have to be mature to join M&Ms, and you don’t have to be a Methodist! You do have to be able to tolerate them, though.
We typically get together the third Thursday of every month for lunch and fellowship. Lunch could be a gourmet meal prepared by our members, a potluck, or a catered feast! Lunch is followed by a short program drawn from a variety of enjoyable possibilities, such as:
- A mini-concert by the North Buncombe Brass Band
- Informative presentations on social or health-related subjects
- Fun entertainment and sing-alongs by our own membership
In the past, the M&Ms have taken excursions to places like the Flat Rock Playhouse, Craggy Gardens, and the Carl Sandburg Home. We are always open to suggestions for lunch, programs, or excursions!
Anyone is welcome to come and enjoy our monthly gatherings in Christian love and fellowship.
